If you are gearing up for the ultimate endgame experience in Aion 2, everything revolves around one chaotic, high-stakes battlefield: the Abyss. It is the premier staging ground where players clash in massive PvPvE environments to farm Abyss Points (AP). If you want to get your hands on that top-tier endgame PvP gear, mastering this zone isn't optional—it is a must.

But how exactly do you get in, and what should you do first once you cross over? Let's break down how to unlock the zone, optimized farming activities, and critical survival tips for beginners.

Unlocking the Gates: Entry Requirements
If you played the classic versions of the franchise, you might remember having to fly through physical, structural gateways scattered across the map. Aion 2 does things a bit differently. This time around, the Abyss functions as an easily accessible PvPvE layer directly integrated into your user interface.

To step inside, you just need to open your main menu and click the dedicated Abyss button. However, the button won't do anything unless you meet the proper criteria:

Character Level: You must reach level 45.

Gear Score: You need to fulfill specific minimum item level benchmarks.

Stuck Outside? How to Boost Your Progression Score
If you have already hit level 45 but the game is still locking you out, your progression score is likely too low. Do not panic—you can bridge the gap relatively quickly by tackling these specific tasks in the overworld:

Complete Green Quests: Make sure to clear out your regional secondary storylines. These are great for earning Deinion points.

Crack Sealed Dungeons: Hunt down all the hidden question marks scattered across your map. Clearing these out rewards you with Devenian upgrading crystals.

Infiltrate Enemy Rifts: Look for active space-time rifts. Taking these rifts into opposing faction territories to clear out enemy strongholds gives your progression a major push.

Collect Overworld Feathers: Gather open-world feathers and feed them to the Monolith. Doing this allows you to upgrade your Revelation Amulet and Noble Belt all the way up to Unique rarity.

Run Low-Level Transcendence: Spend some time farming low-tier Transcendence content. This is the best way to acquire Arcana Cards, which grant massive passive bumps to your overall gear score.

Core Activities & How to Explore
Once your gear score is up and you successfully click that entry button, you are officially in the wild west. The main goal here is accumulation of AP. To maximize your time and avoid aimless wandering, make these four core activities your top priority:

1. Artifact Encounters
Keep a close eye on your server schedule. When an artifact battle start time goes live, you will want to scale the highest mountains in the zone to contest these vital positions. If your faction successfully secures or joins a controlled artifact room, you unlock highly lucrative, 5-minute daily dungeons. Running these can easily yield upwards of 5,000+ AP per single run.

2. Lock Down the Abyss Corridors
If you happen to play a high-mobility or high-AoE damage class—like a Sorcerer or a Ranger—this is your playground. You can solo or group up to clear out the middle corridor rooms. Pop a courage scroll, crack open some elemental crystals, and you can rapidly burn down tightly packed melee mobs for incredibly efficient, optimized AP farming.

3. Grind Purple PvP Contracts
While exploring, keep an eye on your UI or regional hubs for purple-marked contracts. These are specialized hunt objectives that intentionally send you straight into highly contested areas to eliminate designated targets. It is risky, but it rewards you with fast PvP tokens.

4. Grab Weekly Scroll Contracts
Before heading out on an extensive exploration run, visit your local Command Shop Merchant and purchase scroll contracts. Because the threat of an enemy player kill (PK) is a constant reality in these open zones, you should never try to execute these high-rarity contracts alone. Always bring a trusted party partner along for the ride.

Top Survival Tips for Beginners
The Abyss is beautiful, but it is also incredibly unforgiving. If you go in unprepared, you will likely spend more time staring at a death screen than actually playing. Keep these two golden rules in mind:

Join an Active Guild (Legion): Trying to be a lone wolf will only get you so far. Active legions coordinate defensive PvP calls on the fly. If your server's faction balance is heavily skewed, you simply cannot comfortably hold premier farming spots like the Abyss Corridors without a coordinated squad backing you up.

Always Bring a Kisk: The standard map Obelisks do not cover the deeper reaches of the zone where the ambient Aether currents get volatile. Never travel without a bindable Kisk item in your inventory. Dropping a Kisk allows your squad to establish a safe, temporary, localized graveyard right near your farming spot, saving you from long, agonizing runbacks after a wipe.
