Another essential aspect of Dimitris’s residency was the organisation of an open-to-the-public seminar towards the end of his stay. The seminar aimed to shed light on his creative process, offering insights into how the issue of underwater sound pollution and his empathetic connection to affected aquatic species influenced the performance aesthetically, structurally, and contextually. Furthermore, by presenting his unique artistic approach during a public artist talk and the potential future dissemination of his creative-process documentation and resulting works, Dimitris played a pivotal role in fostering knowledge exchange and the development of a shared research agenda around the Toolkit of Care.

In addition he publicly presented both a unique performance and the thought-provoking sound art installation at the APO33’s Plateforme Intermédia. This innovative approach allowed Dimitris to connect with a broader audience and delve into new avenues of artistic presentation, proving to be an invaluable learning experience.

The feedback from members of the public of the immersive experience were recorded in a book, with one visitor expressing their emotional response book after the performance, conveying how the work had sparked feelings of care and empathy for marine life. While this response cannot be considered a scientific method, it nonetheless highlighted the power of art to inspire empathy and awareness.
